ENDORSEMENT

Over the past two years, I have used the HYVAN portable anaesthesia machine in support of international volunteer surgical missions. The HYVAN has proven to be completely reliable, simple to assemble, and easy to use.  
I was particularly pleased with its portability and versatility. It functioned well for patients of all ages including neonates.   The Hyvan is a quality made machine and excellent value for money. I strongly recommend it.

With the modifications John and Ivan have recently made, this ventilator is now capable of safely providing high-flow non-invasive respiratory support as well as mechanical ventilation for the intubated patient treated with muscle relaxants.

The modified HYVAN is not made to replace the sophisticated ICU ventilator but is intended as a back-up that will keep people alive.
